Description
This antique advertising poster for “White’s Golden Tonic For Horses” was made by Union Card Co in Montpelier VT for the Kimball Bros sometime between 1890-1909. The Kimball Bros were based out of Enosburg Falls, VT and made a variety of medicines and “cures” around the turn of the century. White’s Golden Tonic was one of these cures and was advertised as a cure for indegestion, loss of appetite, swelled legs, pink eye, worms among with other ailments…as with most of these early “quack medicines” it would supposedly cure just about everything! This great looking antique poster comes in a modern frame (thats how we found it) that measures 26″ x 20″ It has a few minor condition issues such as some staining and fold tears but overall this displays very well. The image of the horse in the middle is amazing and this old advertising broadside looks would look great hanging in your home or office! A true piece of Vermont veterinary history! Dont miss this, these are getting very hard to find!
