This incredibly rare battery operated Air Mail Helicopter is in WORKING condition and comes in the original box. Made in Japan during the 1960’s by Kobe Yoko Ltd, also known as Yoshiya, this toy is extremely hard to find, especially in running condition. Measuring approx. 10″ long and 6″ wide it has red lights in the cockpit and tail section and has a spinning rotor and tail. It is in extremely good condition with the only noticeable damage being one half of the tail rotor missing, which still spins when the toy is turned on. The rest of the toy has minimal wear and the graphics on the tin litho parts are crisp and bright. All the plastic parts on the bottom are intact without any major damage. The battery compartments (which are located in the missiles? under the wings) are in pretty good shape with the contacts showing a little surface rust and one side showing slight damage from a leaking battery sometime in the past. The great little tin litho pilot in the cab is lit and waves his arms and shakes his head as it should when running. The KO logo is on the rear of the cab and is pressed into the metal on the bottom along with the words “Made In Japan” It comes in the original box, which also has the KO logo on the corner. It does have some minor wear as well as some creases on the corners but is in otherwise good shape. There is one small hole in the middle of the lid (see pics) An overall great looking old battery operated toy that is extremely hard to find. We got this as part of a collection of higher end toys and the person we bought them from almost wouldn’t part with this one! You can see why! You will have a hard time finding a better one anywhere… Please look closely at all photos for best idea of condition.
